Meditation & Beyond: Inner Space Techniques

The unfolding of the bare human soul is what interests me

IST, or the Inner Space Techniques, are a set of tools  based on the inner spaces of meditation that can literally take you any you place you want to go. They've been used by Olympic Athletes to improve their game. After three months of of using the techniques, an Olympic archer was splitting her own arrows. After three private sessions, a hardened blue collar construction worker was reconnected to the lightness of his soul, unburdened, warm and childlike. A lawyer discovered that she had the ability to uplift her headaches with a simple technique, even prevent them from landing.

The techniques are simple to learn, and with practice, are game changing.

IST sessions can be therapeutic and deeply healing. IST includes meditation, awakening the third eye, channel release, cultivating vitality, regression therapy and working with the subconscious to bring clarity and awakening. They are used by professionals to increase productivity and decrease stress; by artists tap into creativity; everyone benefits from this ultimately spiritual path of self discovery which positively influences their relationship with loved ones.

The techniques are deep and powerful and allow you to access the unconscious parts of your psyche, and to get to know your true self beyond the level of the mind.  They were developed by Dr. Samuel Sagan with a team of physicians, psychologists, homeopaths, naturopaths and other health practitioners over a period of 20 years.

A major component of IST is that of awakening the third eye.

The meditation is a simple, but profound technique, can be learned in a weekend workshop and takes only 15 minutes a day.

Third eye meditation takes you out of the ordinary mental consciousness through focusing on the different modalities of the third eye: vibration, light and space. Meditation helps you cope with the pressures of life in the 21st century. As life speeds up, meditation helps foster an attitude of wakefulness in your daily life. It helps keep you on the ball in studies or work meetings. And it helps you to be more receptive to your loved ones.

This meditation is taught in the book, Awakening the Third Eye, by Samuel Sagan, M.D. and also taught in workshops around the world. Check out www.clairvision.org for a list of scheduled Awakening the Third Eye workshops.

What are private IST sessions like?

Inner Space Techniques is practiced with a client and a guide, known as a connector. The client lies down in a comfortable position.

The connector, your IST practitioner, gradually connects you to your inner spaces of consciousness through guided meditation and dialogue. Working with your perceptions, the connector leads the session, either working on a specific issue requested by the client, or allowing the session to unfold organically. Sometimes the sessions are also conducted sitting up, with client and connector facing each other in meditation pose.

IST can be cathartic and tremendously healing. The power of reconnecting to your inner light, the Self, capital S unfolds sometimes all at once - like a burden suddenly lifted, an aha! moment that creates profound space of feeling free. Often times, it comes as a result of a series of practices - no one IST session can be pinpointed as the crux, and yet, you, the client, feel different. There is a return to the sense of freedom, completeness, an awakening and transformation has occurred.

No trumpets sound when the important decisions of our life are made. Destiny is made known silently.
— Agnes de Mille

An IST experience can encompass many spaces of emotion and expression, sometimes all in one session - a cleansing release of deep seated grief or anger, a hilarious eruption of belly laughter, an exploration of hidden strength, depth and power, or a profound experience of high states of consciousness and spiritual worlds.

It is fascinating, fun, sacred and profound.

For nearly 15 years, I have worked with clients using the Inner Space Techniques resolving & healing issues in the following areas:

  • Sexuality

  • Pregnancy, fertility and issues involving the womb

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Career changes, divorce and other Major Life Transitions

  • Creative blockages

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

  • Low confidence / Lack of self esteem

  • Back / Nerve / Sciatic pain

  • Accidents and old trauma

  • Managing anger & the hurt that underlies it

  • Addictions

  • Recurring health issues

How Many Session do I Need?

Sessions are 90 minutes in length. I recommend a minimum of 3 sessions to get to know the space and there is no maximum amount. Some issues are resolved in a few sessions, but other longer-standing issues are not going to let go that easily. They can require patient work over a period of months or even years.

Though at first glance it might seem a tedious process, the working out of the wounds of the past can bring so much depth of understanding of yourself and your interactions with loved ones, friends and colleagues. It can lead to spontaneous moments of joy, an access to free will and a greater awareness of the human consciousness at large.
